The official opening ceremony of the irrigation canal will take place in Kara-Suu city with participation of Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in Osh province, Plenipotentiary representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the south of Kyrgyzstan, Mayor’s Office of Kara-Suu city, Saray and Savay rural districts, local residents and international organizations. 

This irrigation canal was rebuilt within the OSCE Centre in BIshkek project “Creating Conditions for Sustainable Development and Environmental Security in Kyrgyzstan” aimed at preventing  conflicts between the multi-ethnic populations of Saray and Savay rural districts in Kara-Suu district of Osh province since these municipalities are affected by the lack of irrigation water which might lead to conflicts.
