By April 2011 the CSI had deployed 28 civilian police advisors to 10 districts across the country -- primarily in affected areas around southern Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan’s government has requested the CSI continue its operation until December 2012, and has also asked it to expand its actions to other districts.

The CSI's areas of operations are as follows:

Leilek district, Batken Province.

Kyzyl Kia City, Batken Province.

Kara-Suu district, Osh Province.

Uzgen district, Osh Province.

Suzak district, Jalal-Abad Province.

Bazar-Korgon district, Jalal-Abad Province.

Suleiman-Too district, Osh City.

Ak-Buura district, Osh City.

Tokmok City, Chui Province.

Kara-Balta district, Chui Province.
