About
OSCE Centre in Bishkek is continuing a series of training programmes for controllers (mid-rank security staff, sergeants) in penitentiary establishments, launched in January 2011. This training programme will comprise a series of lectures for 30 controllers, working directly with inmates in the penitentiary service. It will focus on international human rights issues, prevention of torture, fight against corruption and the code of conduct for prison personnel. The lecturers come from universities, the State Service for the Execution of Punishment and the OSCE.
This project is funded by the Permanent Mission of Finland to the OSCE.
