About
Officers and members of the working group "State Witness Protection Programme for 2017-2020" from Kyrgyzstan's Iterior Ministry Witness Protection Department will visit the Turkish National Police from 10 to 14 October 2016.
The study-visit is organized by the OSCE Centre in Bishkek in co-operation with the Witness Protection Department of the Turkish National Police, providing the opportunity to exchange best practices in the field of witness protection and establishing effective inter-departmental relations.
In 2014, the OSCE Centre in Bishkek supported the establishment of the Witness Protection Programme within Kyrgyzstan's Interior Ministry.
Being the first of its kind among Central Asian countries, Kyrgyzstan's Iterior Ministry Witness Protection Department has already successfully protected victims of couple-resonance criminal cases.
