In order to improve local and regional media coverage of some of the most relevant topics, such as terrorism, religious extremism, crime and corruption, Institute for Democracy, Media and Cultural Exchange (IDEM) and the OSCE Centre in Bishkek will organize a comprehensive training in safety and security measures for journalists and editors from Central Asia.

The workshop will be conducted by international media experts and attended by 20 participants –from Bishkek, Osh and Batken, Jalal-Abad. The participants will be trained on covering conflicts in media, Kyrgyz legislation on extremis, digital security, data acquisition and fact checking, journalist’s safety measures.

The training will include case analysis and practical assignments for more in depth study of the training materials.
