About
The visit is for neighbourhood inspectors (community police officers), representatives of local authorities and leaders of the neighbourhood watch districts of Bishkek and Karakol.
During the visit, the group will hold a number of meetings, including with the NGONGO
non-governmental organization Estonian Neghbourhood Watch, the Rescue Service, Ministry of Justice, and will pay field visits to local districts where the concept of Neighbourhood Watch is successfully applied in practice. The NGO Estonian Neighbourhood Watch will advise the delegation from Kyrgyzstan in strategic planning of the latter and daily project activities.
The group is expected to establish links with their counterparts in Estonia, which will allow them to draw lessons from the Estonian experience. By identifying potential areas of co-operation the group is also expected to contribute to developing joint projects.
