Five–day training on the use of explosive ordnance disposal equipment will be organized by the OSCE Centre in Bishkek in co-operation with the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic for some 10 military servants of the engineering department of the general staff of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces from 26-30 October 2015.

The training aims at capacity building of the engineering staff of the Armed Forces for efficient execution of small arms and light weapons and conventional ammunition disposal.

The OSCE has purchased equipment for the disposal of ammunition for the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic which includes special uniform, explosive ordnance disposal hook and line kit and mine detector set.

The training is a part of the OSCE project "Strengthening the capacity of the Kyrgyz Republic for the physical security and stockpile management of small arms and light weapons and conventional ammunition".
