A one-month OSCE-supported professional training course on qualification improvement for 27 newly recruited officers will be conducted from 13 July till 08 August at the Penitentiary Administration Training Centre in Bishkek which was established with the OSCE’s support in 2010.
High-ranking officers from the penitentiary system, professors from a number of Kyrgyzstan’s universities will deliver the training. The training will consist of lectures and practical exercises on various subjects, including penitentiary legislation and internal regulations of the prison system, psychological aspects, corruption preventive measures, national strategy on the development of penitentiary system (2012-2016).
The training is organized as part of an OSCE project “Supporting the implementation of the National Strategy on the Development of Penitentiary System “Umut-2” in support of the training centre.
