About
The OSCE-supported simulation exercise 'Batken-Antiterror-2013' will take place with the participation of key law-enforcement agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic, and take place in Batken, southern Kyrgyzstan.
The aim of the exercise is to simulate the governmental response to a possible terrorist attack or incursion into the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and to work out a mechanism to co-ordinate the actions of state law-enforcement agencies. It also aims to help develop mechanisms at the operational headquarters that would guide an anti-terrorist operation; develop co-ordination between the key law-enforcement agencies - subjects of the Anti-Terrorist Centre of State National Security, and check the current state of their operational potential and readiness to react.
High-rank representatives of the State Committee of National Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs, State Border Guard Service, and Batken province Administration will participate.
